Things to Check before you Call
Here are some things to check on your air conditioning system before calling your repair man:
- Check the condenser (outside portion of your A/C system) to see if it is running.
- Check your air handler or furnace to see that it is operating (moving air). If not, check the breakers or fuses and make sure that your thermostat is set correctly and temperature adjusted for operation of cool or heat.
- Check your filter. If it is clogged, shut down your system, replace the filter, run fan only for one hour, then restart your system and check the operation.
